Team Sky cycling chief, Sir Dave Brailsford, has given his full backing to the Bennerley Viaduct Exhibition which is currently on display at the Erewash Museum. The exhibition celebrates the fascinating history of the viaduct along details of its future use as a cycling and walking trail.
Sir Dave urged the community to “Visit the exhibition at the museum this summer and discover what an asset you have on your doorstep and what it can offer for the future”.
The exhibition will be on until the end of August and there will be a range of events such as evening talks, guided walks, art tuition and demonstration and a model railway complete with a scale model of a section of Bennerley Viaduct.
Rediscover the history of this majestic piece of Victorian engineering and learn of its exciting future at the Erewash Museum, Ilkeston.
