Nature Day at Bennerley Viaduct: 29 July

Join the Friends of Bennerley Viaduct for Nature Day on 29 July, from 11am

Celebrate the beautiful and fascinating nature underneath Bennerley Viaduct and the Erewash Valley. Enjoy free family drop-in activities throughout the day including bug hunts, nature walks, and found-natural materials art workshops, plus a family trail under the viaduct. Learn about local green charities and groups at their stalls.

Free event. Drop in, stay as long as you like – you could even bring a picnic! Or include us in a longer walk exploring the Erewash Valley.

Practical Details

Time: 29th July 11am-3pm

Free drop in event, no ticket required but you can book a ticket via Eventbrite if you wish to donate to our charity to support the event.

Location: the steps end of Bennerley Viaduct (the Nottinghamshire side). Accessible by the Nottingham Canal footpath or path beside Naphtha Kennels. NG16 2BF.

Important: The viaduct currently has no car park (although we are building one soon!). Please park responsibly at local car parks, or use public transport. To help you access there is information on our website Visiting Us

Port-a-loo toilet available.

We still have spaces for stall holders, green charities and similar groups to promote their work or provide fun activities for families. We are not charging for pitches – this event is about bringing the community to the viaduct in the celebration of nature and wildlife. Email community@bennerleyviaduct.org.uk for information.
