Footbridge fundraising dinner at Great Northern Classics

Vintage vehicles and the unique heritage of Bennerley Viaduct will come together on Friday 4th September at a fundraising dinner at Great Northern Classics to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Bennerley Viaduct.

The event, which is tipped as ‘an unforgettable evening celebrating in the building where the Iron Giant was born’ is intended to raise funds for the construction of the new footbridge at Bennerley Viaduct. The venue in Derby is the former home of engineering firm and iron foundry Eastwood, Swingler & Co, which manufactured the iron elements that make up the viaduct.

The ticket price covers a formal two-course dinner, live music, heritage displays, a raffle, exclusive merchandise and historic artefacts, all while experiencing the unique atmosphere of this iconic site.

Guests are invited to dress in attire from any era spanning the last 150 years, from Victorian elegance to contemporary style.

All funds raised from the evening will support the construction of a new footbridge over the River Erewash, improving access to the viaduct and helping to preserve this important heritage site for future generations.
